The interactive map of river pollution in Kyiv, based on field cleanup data collected by Kyiv Whale Eco Hub in 2026.
The map visualises data from four events: cleanups on the Lybid River, Rusanivka Channel, Obolon Bay of the Dnipro, and a digital campaign. Each point is a real litter record with GPS coordinates. The heatmap shows pollution concentration, and the dashed line illustrates a conceptual path plastic may travel from the Lybid through the Dnipro toward the Black Sea.
Data collected by volunteers, school teams, and youth co-captains using field forms and water quality test strips. This is a citizen-science visualisation — not a regulatory document.
